Coal mine colliery from the last standing parts of The Marvine Colliery in North Scranton, Pennsylvania. No other parts of standing Northern field coal collieries are known to exist. The components of this piece are from “The Belt” conveyer structure that spanned between Marvine Colliery No.1 and No.2. It crossed the Lackawanna River and was 2,100 feet long.
