My interpretation of a water caltrops that grows underwater and is grounded by a stem from beneath to the bottom of the body of water and another stem grows from the top center and develops floating leaves on the surface of the body of water. This plant has many names; it is named Trapa Bicornis. This plant is also known as horned nut, devil’s nut, bat nut, etc..
